Dr. Gibson

Dr. Colleen Gibson was born and raised in Strongsville, Ohio.  She attended The Ohio State University and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology.  She then moved to the City of Brotherly Love and received her Doctorate in Optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry.  While a student, she was a member of American Optometric Student Association, Ohio Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association, where she completed a student fellowship and became a member of the Contact Lens and Cornea Section.  On graduation, she received the Conforma Contact Lenses Award of Excellence and an award for Clinical Excellence in Primary Care.  

After completing her Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Gibson continued her education with a residency in ocular disease at Erdey Searcy Eye Group in Columbus, Ohio.  During her residency, she received special clinical training in the treatment and management of ocular diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.  She also provided pre- and post-operative care following corneal and cataract surgery and managed urgent ocular problems.  She is passionate about ocular disease and contact lenses, including specialty contact lens fits.  Dr. Gibson is currently a member of Colorado
Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and American Academy of Optometry.  

In her free time, Dr. Gibson enjoys hiking, watching sports (Go Bucks!), camping, and exploring national parks.
